The Session 

            A standard session is one hour. The session begins with a meeting to learn what type of photographs you would like.  The goal is to capture photos that are natural, casual and candid.  Digital photography is used to allow the most flexibility in preparing your final images. The location of the photo session is your choice; most settings where the subject is comfortable will work well. Natural light is preferred over studio lighting.  All sessions are handled with the utmost patience, care and consideration.

Children 

            Photos by Sarah specializes in photographing children.  This expertise and patience results in capturing those fleeting moments that you will cherish for a lifetime.  Making a child comfortable is very important.  It is helpful to let children play, read, cuddle and relax. Although a one hour session is scheduled children will make it known when they have taken enough pictures. If children are ill please be sure to call and reschedule your appointment.

 Clothing 

Simple clothing works the best for creating those successful portraits. Khakis, denim, solids, pastels and whites always photograph well.  Avoid patterns, busy prints, stripes and logos as they can be very distracting and take away from the subject.  If two or more people are being photographed please have everyone dress in similar toned clothing for a more unified classic look. Children also look great in bare skin, especially newborns, and little ones under the age of one.

 Session Fees 

      The Session fee of $75 includes up to one hour of personalized photographer time. This fee includes the time required for preparation and selection of images for the proof collection.  Traveling to certain locations may require a location fee of $25.   Sessions that exceed one hour will be charged a rate of $25 per 30 minutes. 

The session fee is required at the time the session is booked prior to the session.

 Proof Collections and Online Ordering

Sessions normally provide 20 portrait quality images from which to choose. Images for order selection will be presented in both Color and Black and White formats.  All images from the session are available in the format of your choice. Proofs will be ready 1-2 weeks after your portrait session. You will be contacted when your proof collection is ready. The Proof collection is a comprehensive set of your proof images, as well as other helpful information designed to help you in the order process. Payment is required at the time of order placement.
